Find Long Tail Keywords

♠ Posted by Unknown

How to Find Long-Tail Keywords

We’ve been banging the drum about long-tail keywords for a long time. Recently, I explained why it’s so hard to rank for competitive keyword phrases with a new website. The answer? Keep trying, and target more specific, less competitive long-tail keywords in the meantime. We also talked about whether you should target head terms or long-tail keywords in my Content Marketing FAQ. The answer? BOTH! As you’re building out your site content, your keyword taxonomy should naturally include both broad and narrow terms.

Hopefully by now, whatever the size, type, or age of your business, you understand that long-tail keywords should be a part of your SEO content strategy. The long-tail keywords you find could be used as the title and main topic for a highly targeted blog post or article (or video, or infographic, or any other type of content), or you could use them as variations to better optimize a longer guide or article targeting one primary keyword – for example, by using the long-tail keywords in your subheads and image file names.

So where should you go to find those traffic- and lead-driving long-tail keywords? Here are nine tips to get you started.

1. Use Google Suggest

Google Suggestions are an awesome source of long-tail keyword variations. Just start typing your primary keyword into the Google search box and see what variations Google suggests:

Long Tail Keyword Ideas

If it turns up in a Google suggestion, you know that it’s a phrase people are searching for. These suggestions won’t necessarily inspire your faith in humanity (we all remember the “I am extremely terrified of Chinese people” debacle …), but they might inspire good content.

2. Use Google’s Related Searches

Same principle as the Google Suggestions that appear while you’re typing your query, but these suggested related searches appear at the bottom of the SERP, below the first page of organic results:

Related Long-Tail Terms

You may get slightly more suggestions here (in this case, eight keywords versus just four above), and they may also be slightly more personalized (Google knows I live in Colorado, hence the “Denver” and “Fort Collins” modifiers).

3. Use More And Different Keyword Research Tools

If you only use one keyword tool every time you do keyword research, you’re selling yourself short and probably missing out on tons of long-tail keyword variations. The Google Keyword Tool is a great basic tool and a good place to start, but if you’re looking for more long-tail keywords, try these other options too:

WordStream’s Free Keyword Tool – Sorry to toot our own horn, but you really will get more long-tail suggestions with our keyword tool than most other tools out there. The Keyword Niche Finder is great for this purpose too.Google Trends – Find out what people are searching on right now (like “Who will win the 2012 election?”).Social Media Tools – For example YouTube’s keyword tool and Twitter Search.
The more keyword tools you consult, the more long-tail keyword variations you’re likely to find.

4. Mine Your Analytics

Your analytics will tell you many, if not all, of the keyword phrases that lead visitors to your website. By digging through these keyword referrers, you’ll be able to find a bunch of long-tail queries that are driving traffic for you. These keywords may be relevant to your business but not yet highly targeted by a single page on your site. For example, a few years ago we found that a lot of people were searching on the phrase “what’s a good click through rate” to wind up at our site, but we didn’t have a page with that title, so we wrote one, and now it drives tons of traffic.

To find your own private store of long-tail keywords, go into your analytics and locate your organic keyword referrals (in Google Analytics, the path is Traffic Sources -> Sources -> Search -> Organic). You can simply scan all the terms for good, relevant long-tail keywords you can turn into content, or you can set the time frame to something pretty large (depending on your traffic flow, try a 3-, 6-, or 12-month period) so you’ll have a lot of data to look at, then search for patterns. For example, you might search for question keywords (i.e. terms that begin with “what,” “why,” etc.).

Google Analytics Long-Tail Research

5. Mine Your Search Query Reports

If you’re running a PPC campaign in AdWords, don’t forget to use your Search Query Report the same way you’d use your analytics, just one of many ways that PPC data can inform your SEO. Your Search Query Report shows you the search queries that drove people to click on your ads, rather than your organic search results. As an added bonus, you get fuller access to this data than you do your organic referrers in Google Analytics. It may also be easier to see which keywords are driving conversions, not just traffic. High-converting long-tail keywords are especially worth chasing.

6. Browse EHow

Sites like eHow are pretty much entirely fueled by keyword research, primarily long-tail keyword research. Demand Media, the company that owns eHow, Cracked.com and other sites, uses powerful algorithms to find long-tail keywords it can then rank for with hyper-targeted content.

You might not have Demand Media’s data sources or insanely profitable content algorithms on your side, but you can still learn from this methodology. Browse these sites for keyword ideas. If eHow is targeting a keyword phrase, you can bet it has search volume and that advertisers are interested in buying placement on those pages. Another good bet? Whatever they have produced to target those keywords is probably pretty lame. The content eHow churns out is produced on the cheap by freelancers and tends to be thin content, the kind of stuff that post-Panda Google no longer favors. If you can create strong content with real value that is also hyper-targeted, you have a good chance of outranking the content farms.

Post-Panda Keyword Research

7. Browse Q&A Sites

Like Demand Media properties, Q&A sites can be a good source of long-tail keyword ideas. I’m talking about sites like:

Quora (here are some tips for using Quora to find content ideas)Yahoo AnswersAnswers.comAskville by AmazonLinkedIn Answers
Questions make great long-tail keywords – it couldn’t be more obvious that these people are looking for answers and information.

long-tail question keywords

Of course you’ll want to do a little keyword research to find the version of each question that has the right search volume and competition level. Not every question you find on a Q&A site is going to be a worthwhile keyword to attack.

8. Browse Wikipedia

Is Wikipedia the most optimized site on the Internet? It’s definitely up there. You can learn a lot by copying Wikipedia’s on-page optimization. When doing research around a base term, try checking the Wikipedia page. For example, look at the table of contents (this for the “Quantum Mechanics” page):

Wikipedia long-tail keywords

A lot of these headings translate into long-tail keywords (“history of quantum mechanics,” “mathematical formulations of quantum mechanics,” “applications of quantum mechanics,” etc.). You can also do a page search (Control-F) on the page for your primary keyword and see what other variations appear throughout the text. In addition, the “See Also” section at the bottom of many Wikipedia articles can be helpful for finding clusters of related terms.

9. Steal From Competitors

For informational queries, Wikipedia is often your competitor. But always check out the competition when you’re chasing a keyword term. Start with head and mid-tail terms that you’re trying to rank for, and see what types of keyword variations are used on the pages that are ranking in the top 5-10 spots. For example, let’s say you’re chasing the keyword “holiday crafts.” Scope the page that ranks #1 for that keyword on Google and see what keywords it’s using (keywords everywhere!):

Ways To Improve YouTube SEO

♠ Posted by Unknown in
Here are five ways to improve YouTube SEO

Create a YouTube Channel

Set up your YouTube channel and name it after your business. Upload all of your videos on that same account and include keywords and back-links to your website. The advantage of uploading video content to YouTube is that customers can see or hear a representative of your business and that helps to build trust. Remember that video content is engaging; many customers may not wish to spend their time reading about products and services and instead would prefer to watch a video of a product in use or hear a company representative describe a service.

Tag Keywords
Tagging a video will vastly increase the amount of views it receives so include as many relevant keywords for your business as possible. One of your tags should be your brand name. Your video title must be short and ideally would include one of your keywords, preferably at the beginning of the title.
When you tag a video it becomes connected with other videos that have similar keywords thus is likely to appear as a related video. It is worth searching your keywords into Google first to see if video content appears high on the search ranking. This is because there are certain keywords and phrases that Internet users will use to find articles and certain keywords and phrases they use to find videos. A user typing “Man falling over' would be looking for a video as opposed to an article thus it is important to optimise your content around video keywords.

Engage with potential customers
The reason social media is such an effective tool for businesses is that it breaks the wall between company and customer. YouTube is no different to Twitter or Facebook in that it is a platform in which you can establish communication with your audience. Replying to comments on videos humanises your business and in turn healthy relationships can be built. Just be sure to not spam your videos full of comments and ensure that you always reply to criticism in a polite and rational manner. Encourage conversation and try to keep it flowing.
Remember to ask the users to subscribe to your channel on every video you upload. Just remember to always do this at the end of the video and never at the beginning.

Upload content of a high quality
As they say 'content is king;' so make sure your video is of a good production quality and is useful to the audience. Nobody is expecting the video to look like a Kubrick movie, but shaky camera work and poor lighting are unacceptable. A large number of viewer’s means nothing if they are all clicking the 'thumbs down' button. This will not only reflect poorly upon your product or services but will stop future users from even bothering to watch the video.
It is important to remember that customers will not want to watch something that feels like a commercial. Nearly every YouTube user skips the ads, so why would they want a video that feels like one? Instead focus on injecting humour if necessary and test your products in a creative way. Sometimes you may want to post video replies. Replying to highly viewed videos is a great way of gaining exposure.

Promote
Once your video has been uploaded, it is time to promote it on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and any other social media platform. This doesn't just mean tweeting or sharing the link as a status but also includes posting the link in online groups, forums and communities. Don't just post it anywhere or make a topic for the link, as this is spam, but if someone has asked a question that your video will genuinely answer, then feel free to link the video.
Embed the link onto your company website and find any relevant websites that may be interested. The more views the video receives, the higher it will rank in search engines. It is important to share your content within 24 hours of uploading it. Remember to think of others and not just yourself. If you view another brand's video that you enjoyed, retweet or share it. This establishes you as someone who doesn't just self-promote and as someone who is connected within the industry. It also guarantees that somewhere down the line your own content will be retweeted.

YouTube may seem like a crazy place full of hilarious cat videos and incorrect song lyrics but it is also a powerful social media platform where thousands of channels are making six figures a year.

Make YouTube part of your social media strategy and engage viewers from around the world.

4 Reasons Your Blog Will Never Grow!

4 Reasons Your Blog Will Never Grow!
First of all tell me why should anyone read your blog?

No idea?

Let me clear your doubt why should someone read your blog.

People read your blog to solve their problems not to listen your bragging!

Blogging is not only the best way to make money online but it also provide a better platform to share your opinions and to build a brand.

Isn’t it?

But only few bloggers succeed online. Well, most of the remaining bloggers quit blogging within 6 months, how terrible?

Ammar is very lucky as he had recently completed his 6 months blogging journey and published over 199 posts, this the 200th post which you are reading now!

Coming back to the point. Why your blog will never grow and what can you do to stop it? Ready?

4 Reasons Why Your Blog Will Never Grow
1. Mediocre content:

If you have pathetic content and writing style then no one will be interested to read your so called blog.

Create something that you will be proud of.

Don’t post just another posts to update your blog. No post is better than the worst post. And I know it’s bit difficult to create great content especially when you are just starting out.

All you have to do to create better content for your blog is: being helpful to your readers. Know your targeted audience first. Then try solving their problems.

How to know their problems then?

Good question which I always love to answer.

Try solving your own blogging problems! I will explain you more better here.

If you are just created a blog and thinking what to write in your first blog post, you can write “How to write your very first blog post”.

You can rank more better in Google if you are the first person to write on the trending hot topics!

At the end of the day, you must create compelling content, readers will come one or other day for sure!
Read: 10 Crucial Points To Help You Write Better Blog Posts.

2. Terrible design:

Invest some money on buying premium themes like Thesis or Genesis, their coding is so simpler and easy which can make your blog to take next level.

Make your readers easily to read your content. Don’t make your blog design complex! If you strain their eyes, they will go away.

If you can’t afford premium themes, just make use of minimalist themes like pagelines etc.

They look simple and easy to read the content without having any strain.

Read: Selecting Your Blog Design Theme Design

3. You don’t network:

Creating valuable content alone is not enough, you must network with others in your niche. Spend some time to respond to your comments, email others to read your content, be in touch with your readers etc.

Blogging becomes much easier when you have like minded people around your network. If you have unique tone and content, you can absolutely stand out from the crowd to make a difference.

You don’t need to be creative marketer to network with others. Just focus on Win/Win approach i.e give and take policy.

It works better when you network with others. Try to help them and solve their problems, surely you will make positive impact on them.

4. You spend time on wrong things!!

Instead of spending your time on blog commenting for 2 to 3 hours, spend that time to write quality guest posts for others. It can do wonders.

I’m not saying to stop blog commenting. But if you have less time to blog, spend time productively. And this is the best way to build your blog fast.

Guest blogging gives you:

Relationships with the author
Subscribers
You can steal their readers
Attract more traffic
Back links
You can be everywhere!

Is forex halal or haram. If halaal please explain why is it so?

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Answer:

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
In light of the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, the majority of the scholars and jurists in Islam are of the opinion that the buying, selling and trading of foreign currencies is permissible in Islam,  provided the trading and exchange is done on spot payment and exchanged.   Please note here that ‘margin-trading’, ‘puts’, ‘calls’, ‘straddle’ or any of the derivatives other than spot exchange are held unlawful and prohibited in Islam.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
